Biography
Freddie Hudson is a former driver/trainer who grew up in the harness racing industry and was the protégé of Hall of Fame driver/trainer Del Insko. He has written several harness racing publications and co-authored with Victoria Howard and Billy Haughton the Amazon best seller, Roosevelt Raceway Where It All Began.
Hudson also acts as an adviser to several harness horse owners.

Hudson is a strong supporter of the equine rescue programs and has met with many Washington D.C. politicians and has spoken several times on Capitol Hill, representing the harness racing industry on equine welfare.

Outside of harness racing, Hudson has held positions in the corporate world with several companies with titles ranging from Director to CEO. In 2001 as the Vice President of LGA he led the company to winning a Tibbetts Award for Innovation in Technology. The Tibbetts Award is the highest honor that the Federal Government awards a business. The award is usually presented to the officers of the winning company by the President of the United States.

Through the development of this knowledge based application, Hudson worked with the C.I.A, U.S.A.F. and the N.I.H. The application was used by the CIA as a security measure at U.S. embassies around the world to protect embassies from terrorist attacks. The N.I.H used the application for cancer research. Hudson traveled the country meeting with the Directors of most of the 70 official U.S. designated cancer centers. Hudson has met with and worked with some of the top cancer researchers in the world.

Hudson was also the Vice President of International Sales and Marketing for the Microsoft first wave partner, W. Quinn. There are only thirty companies in the world that held that distinguished title of Microsoft First Wave Partner. While at Quinn, Hudson saw the company grow from nine employees to 175 and he had the honor of being part of EDS’ first billion dollar deal. The Quinn product became the number one software storage application in the world.

Currently, Hudson acts as an official for the NBC Golf Channel’s AM Tour in Washington D.C. and Baltimore. He also helps to market the sport of harness racing and has Four books in the works, Yonkers Raceway, Herve Filion, Crazy Mo, and the Fifty Greatest Harness Drivers of All Time. He is also working on the Roosevelt Raceway Documentary with Grammy winner, Trade Martin.
Hudson has also organized and hosted several harness racing events, including the Roosevelt Raceway Reunions and recently was a candidate for the USTA Presidency.
